I was on a Kvar kick after watching the battle between Kvar and Lloyd on the OVA. He was kinda awesome in that fight. He whipped Lloyd around like it was nobody's business. I had always liked the character but never really felt the need to do anything with him.
Anyway I had a basic backstory in my fic for him where he "hid his ears" in a hat shop. Well with the kick I decided to elaborate on the idea of a backstory for Kvar. The hat shop is now a family business in Palmacosta. He was raised selling hats and learning the shrewd ways of a merchant. However after his mother's death, it was only a matter of time before the local humans attacked and burned the hat shop. A design for young Kvvar, his human mother and the hat shop window. Little Kvar looks off but I could get those eyes to look right on a little kid. Any KVAR LOVE. |
