The first of the character sheets. Also the compound divides the patients into either: STABLE, someone whose powers are nonlethal, are in control of them or are rehabilitation (most common status given) and HOSTILE, someone who is uncontrollable, impulsive, violent or too emotionally damaged to be released.
Fatima was born in Cairo in the lat 70s. Her relationship with her parents was rocky at best. Though I've never intended for her to be directly abused, she was exiled at around the age of ten by her father. She ends up living on the streets where she takes up a life as a petty thief and eventually joins a small gang of pickpockets where she meets her first heartthrob. The boy is several years older than her and wastes no time taking advantage of having a young influence able girl doting over him. He decides that he's tired of being poor and plans to rob the Cairo Museum. The plan is foiled and he takes off leaving Fatima alone to take the wrap. But in a strange turn of events one of the artifacts she gets her hands on is actually a vessel for Sekhmet and Bastet changing Fatima's life forever.
Fatima was my first character out of the group and over originally based on Permafrost from Static Shock. However she kind of evolved into a far more violent, dangerous and vocal character. Fatima is for the most part of the story very detached from almost everyone often attacking others at the compound. After being betrayed by both her family and her Egyptian boyfriend, she never really recovers any real feelings of trust. She also feels that she isn't loveable because of her appearance and deformities making her lash out violently. Ken is the only person that she feels close to because of the mutual fear that is felt by the other mutants. (can't think of a better word) Though her outburst are not for the most part her fault. The presence of Sekhmet in her system makes her violent and aggressive by default and all of the other issues are simply icing on the cake.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
